Welcome to Sonotube Concrete Calculator (sonotubeconcretecalculator.com). The site is run by Farrukh Shahzad. When you use this site and its tools, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Last updated:
1. What This Site Does & Safety Notice
This site gives you free tools that work out concrete volume and bag counts (50, 60 and 80 lb). It also shows scale drawings and simple rules of thumb. They are meant for round forms, such as deck, fence, mailbox and pergola piers.
2. Estimates Only — No Warranty
Results depend on the numbers you type and on common bag yields. Real yields vary by brand and mix. The site is given "as is" and "as available". We make no promise of any kind, stated or implied. That includes no promise that results are right, fit your job, or that the site will always be up.
3. Your Duties
- You must check your own site sizes, tube sizes, soil and hole depths. Do this before you buy or pour.
- You agree to add a waste margin (most often 10% to 15%) for holes that are not straight or ground that is not flat.
- You must get any permits and checks your job needs.
4. Fair Use
You agree not to:
- copy the code, scrape the site in bulk, flood it or try to break it;
- use the contact form to send spam, viruses or illegal content;
- post large parts of the site as your own without our OK.
5. Who Owns the Content
We own the design, text, images and tool code of this site. Copyright law protects them. You may use the tools and share links to them for free. You may copy your own results for your job. No one owns the math itself, so anyone can use the formulas.
6. Trademark Notice
"Sonotube®" is a trademark of Sonoco Products Company. This site is a free tool run on its own. It is not linked to, paid for or backed by Sonoco, Quikrete or Sakrete. We use these names only to describe round cardboard concrete forms and bagged concrete.
7. Links to Other Sites
This site may link to or use other sites and services. We do not run them, so we are not responsible for what they show, when they are up, or how they treat your data. Our Privacy Policy lists the services we use.
8. Limits on Our Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site, or from not being able to use it. This covers direct and indirect loss, and harm to your build, your money or your plans. It includes running short of concrete, buying too much, delays and piers that settle. The site is free, so our total liability for any claim is capped at US $50.
Some places do not allow these limits. If so, some of them may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any liability that the law does not let us limit.
9. Your Promise to Cover Us
If you misuse the site or break these terms, you agree to cover us for any claims, losses or costs that result. This includes fair legal fees.
10. Which Laws Apply
These terms follow the laws of the place where the site owner is based. Any dispute goes to the courts there. If the consumer law where you live says otherwise, that law wins. If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the full deal between you and us about this site.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may change these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above shows the last change. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
